NOGs in the Asia Pacific Region
To assist the global network operator community, we have compiled a list
of the Network Operator Groups in the Asia Pacific Region. We hope the list
is complete - if not, please contact the Secretariat with any update
information, with relevant links.
Regional NOGs
There are two regional NOGs in the Asia Pacific Region. They are:
- PacNOG - Pacific Islands (including
American Samoa, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji,
French Polynesia, Guam, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue,
Northern Mariana Islands, New Caledonia, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa,
Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu)
- SANOG - South Asia (including
Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and
Sri Lanka)
Local NOGs
Below is a list (with links to their websites) of the Network
Operator Groups in the economies of the Asia Pacific Region.
No NOG
The following economies have no functioning NOG that APNOG is aware
of:
- Afghanistan - AfgNOG met once in 2017, looks like AFNOG will relaunch in 2024
- Brunei
- China - CNNOG used to exist, but now seems to be defunct
- Maldives
- Pakistan - PKNOG was created, but nothing more as yet
- Timor Leste
